Today was Co-op day, we made solar ovens out of plxiglass and pizza boxes. Plus we cooked s'mores in them...yummy! After we got home mom and I made baked shells for supper, and dad make us a nice salad to go with it. Today, all I had left of school to finish up was writing an essay for CQLA and I don't think I got Spanish in either...oops. I like CQLA better than spanish because I can listen to CD's on my laptop while typing on it.

Our library has a bookshelf out in the foyer where people can leave magazines they don't want. We really have gotten some great things off of there. Mom gets a crafting mag, gabe gets lego and ranger rick mags, and there is often a few issues of Brio for me on there.

My church is organizing a trip down to the WAA to see the Portable Sounds Tour. With TobyMac, Thousand Foot Krutch (YES!) and BarlowGirl. I'm really excited about TFK and TobyMac but BarlowGirl is a band that I had started having reservations about. A friend and I had a debate about it a little while ago and we really feel they guy bash WAY to much. Not to stain the ideas of BarlowGirl fans that read my blog though!

Yea, I'm hoping it will be. My youth leader sent out an e-mail inviting the whole youth group to attend to I'm going to have to bug K, A, and C to come

Bess - did you enjoy making those solar ovens? Should I take the time to do them here at home with my kids?

Yes we had a great time making them! Mom says she will send directions via E-mail. Texas has more sun than NY, they would probably work really well.

True we do have lots of sun and I should make the most of it. Tell your Mom Thanks!
