Pizza Toppings, Rain, and a bunch of kids. Oh and one small girl singing

I sang in church this Sunday. I was so nervous but I made it through all right. My song was Jesus Will Still be There by Point of Grace. I really loved this song, plus alot of people came up and said I did a good job and say "bess I didn't know you could sing!". I made Mr. L almost speechless...LOL

Ok now for the Crazy Activitys of HCVC Church's youth group. Youth group split into two teams/groups. One went to VF and the other into SC (not south carolina, for those who were GOING to ask!) The challenge was for two people to go up to peoples houses and knock on there doors, Hand them a tract, tell them your name and the churches name and then ask for an unopened something for human consumption that could possibly be a pizza topping. Oh we got some TOPPINGS! Sardines, Saerkraut, SPAM, Water chesnuts, Bamboo shoots. Yuck. Loren made a totally disgusting pizza with everything on it. It had the mentioned above plus a few normal things that could have been pizza toppings like olives, green beans, corn, mandarin oranges, and diced tomatos. Spam is just fat congealed and then dyed pink and stuffed in a can right? That is so gross. Mine had Button Mushrooms, Corn, Green Beans, bamboo, and green olives. People actually ate mine! The people around VF and SC must think the kids from HV are certifically insane.

The pizza's really did look pretty gross! :-p

You did a great job on your song. I was so proud of you. I'm glad you had a good time on youth group.

Wow! Sounds like you did a great job on your song. The pizza event sounds hysterical! I love the idea. What a great way to introduce people to your church and have fun in the process. It reminds me of the Bigger and Better Scavenger Hunts we used to do in my old youth group days. You would start out with a safety pin and then have to "trade it on up" along the way.

I didn't realize you had this other blog. Nice to read some more.
